Applying for a JCB Card

As of January 3, 2018, JCBUSA is not accepting new application.

Can I add a family member to my JCB Card account?

What is the credit limit?

Your credit limit is based on our credit evaluation and can be as high as $12,000 and not less than $500. You will be assigned the highest credit limit for which you qualify.

Can I request a Credit Limit Increase?

Payments & Fees

What is the minimum payment?

For residents of California: 5% of the New Balance shown on your billing statement or $15 (whichever is greater) plus any part of the previous month’s Minimum Payment Due that is past due and any amount by which your New Balance exceeds your assigned credit limit.

For residents of Connecticut, Hawaii, lIlinois, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oregon or Washington: 3% of the New Balance shown on your billing statement or $15 (whichever is greater) plus any part of the previous month’s Minimum Payment Due that is past due and any amount by which your New Balance exceeds your assigned credit limit.

Where do I send my payment?

Your billing statement will indicate the address to send your payment. However, if you have misplaced your billing statement, send your payment to:

Is there an annual fee?

JCB Standard, Mitsuwa JCB Card and Marukai JCB Card (California)

What are other fees charged to the account?

Cash and Check Advance (including Balance Transfers):
Either $2 or 2% of the amount or each cash of check advance (including balance transfers), whichever is greater.

Foreign Transaction Fee:
1.1% on each transaction before conversion to U.S. dollars.

If you are late on your payment, you may be charged a fee per occurrence. No over limit fee is assessed on your account.

Online Statement

How do I access my Online Statement?

To access your Online Statement you will need an account setup with your user name and password. For initial set-up, please call Cardmember Servides at 1-800-366-4522, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.Pacific Time.

I lost username and/or password.

Click “Forgot User Name” or “Forgot Password” on the log-in page and you will receive an instructions delivered to the email address on record for your account.

Billing

What is the grace period for repayment of balances for purchases?

You have at least 27 days to repay your balance for purchases before an interest charge on purchases will be imposed provided you have paid your previous balance in full by the Payment Due Date. There is no grace period for cash and check advance balances.

What is the method of computing the balance for purchases?

The interest charge is calculated on the Average Daily Balance (including new transactions).

How is the Average Daily Balance calculated for purchases?

The Average Daily Balance is calculated by adding together the purchase balance of the account for each day in the billing cycle and dividing the sum by the number of days in the billing cycle.

Basic Information

Do you provide customer service in Japanese?

Yes. Cardmember Services provides customer service in Japanese, Monday through Friday
from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Pacific Time and can be reached at 800-366-4522 or 800-FON4JCB.

Where can I use my JCB Card?

JCB cards are accepted in the U.S. that accept the Discover® Network. JCB cards are also accepted at over 33 million locations in 190 countries and territories, including most major airlines, hotels, car rental agencies, and thousands of fine restaurants and retail stores.

Tell me more about the JCB Plaza.

JCB Plaza Lounges are membership lounges located in nine major cities across the globe including Los Angeles and Honolulu. Our friendly multi-lingual staff will provide you with information on local JCB merchants, make reservations at JCB merchant restaurants, arrange local sightseeing tours, and answer any other questions you may have to make your travel more enjoyable.

Please have your JCB Card with you when calling or visiting a JCB Plaza Lounge.

Can I use my JCB Card in an ATM?

In the US, your JCB Card is accessible at ATMs with the Cirrus logo.

Internationally, JCB is a member of CIRRUS. Also, your JCB Card can be used at all JCB ATMs, UFJ ATMs, and ATMs at Seven-Eleven (Seven Bank) in Japan and at Postal Office ATMs in Japan.

How do I redeem my JCB Cash Back Points?

Contact Cardemember Services and you may redeem your points via our automated system or speak with a representative who will assist you in redeeming your points.

Minimum points for redemption vary by product. Please see the product disclosure or contact Cardmember Services for assistance.

Is the Marukai Hawaii membership fee included with my Marukai JCB Card?

Your Marukai Hawaii membership is separate from the Marukai JCB Card. Marukai Hawaii members must pay for their Marukai membership fee in accordance with the terms of their Marukai membership agreement. However, for your convenience, your Marukai membership fee is billed to your Marukai JCB Card on the anniversary of your Marukai JCB Card issuance.

Using JCB card outside the US

I will be traveling abroad and want to use my JCB card outside the US.

To protect your card from fraud, purchases made outside the US may be denied by our system if you have not notified JCB USA of your travel plans. If you will be traveling outside the US, please contact Cardmember Services at1-800-366-4522 to let us know you will be traveling.
